Schlein injury boost

BELLE Vue have been boosted by the news that captain Rory Schlein won’t need an operation to pin the bone he broke in his left foot last Monday.

A specialist had to wait for the swelling to subside before making the decision to let the injury heal naturally and now the Aussie is hoping to be back in three weeks.

Team boss Jim Lynch said: “Rory hasn’t been at his best so far this season and we both feel that he can come back stronger after this enforced rest.”
